The Holidays are around the corner and if you are looking for something fun, vibrant, easy & delicious…Cranberry Snow it is. A cranberry syrup with only 2 ingredients. So easy you won’t believe it. Perfect for desserts, gifts, party favors & more!
Ingredients:
White Sugar (1 part)
Fresh Cranberries (1 part).
Directions:
Have clean dry jars ready and set aside.
Wash the cranberries in a basin and drain the excess water (I used 3 bags of fresh cranberries about 2.25 lb.).
After the cranberries are washed and drained, in a large basin toss the cranberries and sugar together (same part sugar about 2.25 lb.).
Fill your jars with the mixture and close tight. The longer you let the cranberries and sugar sit the better, you will have a richer tasting syrup. I jarred mine 2 months in advance before the holidays! Keep the jars in a cool dry area, on the kitchen counter is fine. Once opened, keep refrigerated.
**Tip: Although temping, do not open the jars to taste test, let sit for at least a month or two before using. Constantly opening it and exposing the syrup to air is not good. After you jar the cranberries try to forget about it for a couple months.
Once ready use in desserts as a sugar replacement, on ice cream/desserts, alcoholic beverages & more!
