So I decided this morning I wanted to make a rose milk tea and it came out so good I wanted to share. If you are like me and can’t have dairy this is the recipe for you! You can also play around with the type of milk you use (regular milk, oat, soy, almond). I used my oat milk which you can find the recipe here as well.
INGREDIENTS:
-1 cup black tea
-2 tbsp rose water
-2 to 3 tbsp rose syrup (depending on how sweet you like it)
1/4 cup oat milk (you can use other types of milks if preferred)
STEPS:
First make some rose water syrup (1/4 cup rose water, 1/4 cup water & 1/2 cup granulated sugar). Put these 3 ingredients in a small sauce pan and combine over medium high heat (keep stirring). Cook for about 8-10 minutes and leave to the side. This will make more than enough syrup so you can store the rest in the fridge.
Brew 1 teabag of black tea in 1 cup of hot filtered water. Then add the 2 tbsp of rose water and rose syrup to taste (stir well).
Lastly pour in 1/4 cup warm oat milk and you are done!
It’s that easy, then you are done! Enjoy your warm milk tea with a nice fragrance of rose.
