Life has brought us to the beautiful islands of Hawaii (Oahu). My husband and I have been living here for about 4 months now! Hawaii has definitely been a change from the busy city life in Los Angeles but embracing the relaxing beach life hasn’t been too hard.
“Hawaii Life” will be a new blog series showing a glimpse of our Island adventures. We will be checking out some of the most popular tourists spots to see if the hype is really worth it. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY exploring the local spots you may not hear too much about.
Today we checked out the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet and Market place! This place is huge and has over 700 local vendors. Everything from shirts, jewelry, fruits, snacks, all kinds of souvenirs and even BTS. Yes I said BTS, I found Kpop in Hawaii haha (not surprised). If you are on vacation and trying to buy some gifts to take back home… this place is perfect! They have everything for a fraction of the price! Here I will share with you some photos of what I found (even some really crazy stuff!) and tips below.
Verdict: Fun place to walk around and buy some interesting things. Worth Checking out!
Tips:
Hours: Open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (check hours before going).
Entry/Parking: 1 dollar per person to enter and plenty of parking after the entrance.
Clothing: Wear light clothing/comfortable shoes. It’s outdoors so it’s gets hot. Be ready for lots of walking, it’s a huge place with lots of vendors!
Purchasing items: Take cash for your convenience (ATM’s also available). Some vendors take cards as well.
Food: I would eat before going. Not much of a place for a meal. They have stadium food and some vendors but mostly snacks/fruits.
